Notes:

This fire started on Pier 3 and quickly spread to multiple piers and ships. Burning ships drifted down the hudson river while crew members and tugboats tried to contain the fire.

It is not known what started the fire, but it spread quickly due to the dry weather, dried out wood, and cargo that the ships were holding.

The mass grave for the victims is marked with a large stone monument with plaque embedded into it. There is also a nicely crafted gate at the grave.
