| Notes:
NOTE: While this is somewhat unorthodox, I decided to include this memorial. As many people know, a loved dog can become as much a part of a family as anyone else.
Cinder the fire dog lived at the Westford Fire Headquarters for nearly her entire life (1987 - 2002). She was brought to the station as an orphan when she was just a puppy. She was an active member of the department and known to children and adults throught the community. Sadly, she died the day after the 9/11 attacks in 2001. Her ashes are buried under her favorite napping spot, a tree at the station. A small engraved stone marks the spot. Her tags still hang inside the station.
