FireMemorials.com
FireMemorials.com is an online resource for finding Fire, Firefighter and Emergency Medical Services related memorials and museums throughout the United States. The site is dedicated to permanent memorials and museums that preserve the history of these public safety branches and their defining events. Please choose the state that you would like to search from the list on the left.
I am always looking to add information about Fire and EMS memorials and museums to the site, no matter how small they might be. I do not have many pictures yet because I do not want to use other people's pictures without permission. Please read my submission policy and contact me with any monuments that you feel belong on this site or any other suggestions you have. It doesn't matter if the memorial is dedicated to one or two emergency personnel or an entire city department. All memorials are welcome.
I would really like some detailed write-ups about memorials and their history if anyone would like to send them. Contributors will be clearly credited for their work.
Updates to this site can be expected regularly. You can visit our updates page to see what has been added to the site in recent weeks.
Living in New England, I have started building this site with a little more weight in the Northeast. I am counting on visitors to send me information on memorials and museums from other parts of the country. So I am encouraging anyone who has a suggestion to contact me.
This site is not intended to place blame on anyone or anything that may have caused a given event. Nor is it to criticize the handling of any of the events contained in these pages. The site is simply meant to serve as a reference to preserve the memory of these events and the public safety personnel who continue to respond to our emergencies. As the quote at the top implies, may we learn from these events and rise again.
I hope you enjoy my site.
DISCLAIMER: None of the information contained on this page is guaranteed to be accurate. Although I try to be as thorough as possible, monuments move, change, and sometimes go away. I have researched these memorials to the best of my ability. This site is most seamlessly viewed with Mozilla Firefox. IE users may notice some misalignment of tables and images.
