I came up with the idea while doing some research one day. It would be nice to have one website that people could come to and find information on lots of memorials and museums, rather than finding a page here and a page there on internet searches. Naturally, I cannot visit all of these memorials myself so I would ask people to help out by sending information and links to memorials around the country.

My full-time job is as a Firefighter / Paramedic for Amherst (MA), Local 1764. I also manage their website and I have enjoyed designing web pages for several years, so this seemed like a logical thing to do.

The goal is to provide a simple, easy-to-navigate resource for general information about Fire or EMS related memorials nationwide. I wanted as few visible graphics as possible in order to streamline the site, which is why the site is mostly text based. Most images must be clicked in order to view.

Please let me know if you have any recommendations or additions for the site. I would love your input.
